Use the SalesforceIQ CRM Android app

Our Android app, named Salesforce Inbox, offers a real-time resource that keeps you in the loop about important activity taking place whenever you are away, whether you're visiting clients, stuck at the airport, or simply out to lunch. Our app is available on Android 4.4 and higher.

The Android app lets you do the following:

  • Instantly access your SalesforceIQ data, including Contact information and communication Streams

    Note: The Android app provides an aggregate address book of your Google contacts, company address book, and iPhone/Android contacts all in one place.
  • Review and add comments and tasks for yourself and your teammates
  • Read notifications and other updates on-the-go
  • Track important Lists and List objects (leads, opportunities, etc.)
  • Using the email Inbox, access and reply to emails—including using shortcuts to quickly insert text you commonly use into a message
  • Stay up-to-date and browse your SalesforceIQ notifications and email read receipts from a consolidated feed view, located in the left navigation of the app
  • Set your content sharing settings for a Contact or an individual email by clicking the Share button

In addition, SalesforceIQ automatically logs calls you make from the Android app in the Stream.

The easiest way to download and install the Android app is to use SalesforceIQ to send a link to the app to your phone:

  1. In SalesforceIQ, click at the top of the screen, and then select Settings.
  2. On the screen that appears, click Connected Accounts.
  3. To the right of Download the Android app, click Send Link.
  4. On your phone, use the link to download and install the app.

Note: The Android app is also available for download in the Google Play store. It is listed there as Salesforce Inbox. Because you need to log into the app using your SalesforceIQ credentials, you must create a SalesforceIQ Account before you can access the mobile app.

Connect a Microsoft Exchange Email Account

  1. Tap in the lower-right corner of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Connected Accounts.
  4. Tap Connect to the right of Add a Microsoft Exchange account.
  5. Follow the onscreen instructions to authenticate your account.

Connect a Gmail Email Account

  1. Tap in the lower-right corner of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Connected Accounts.
  4. Tap Connect to the right of Add a Gmail account.
  5. Follow the onscreen instructions to authenticate your account.

Connect an Office 365 Email Account

  1. Tap in the lower-right corner of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Connected Accounts.
  4. Tap Connect to the right of Add an Office 365 account.
  5. Follow the onscreen instructions to authenticate your account.

Use the SalesforceIQ CRM iPhone app

Our iPhone app, named Salesforce Inbox, offers a real-time resource that keeps you in the loop on important activity taking place whenever you are away, whether you're visiting clients, stuck at the airport, or simply out to lunch.

The iPhone app lets you do the following:

  • Instantly access your SalesforceIQ data, including Contact information and communication Streams

Connect a Microsoft Exchange Email Account

  1. Tap in the lower-right corner of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Connected Accounts.
  4. Tap + in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  5. Tap Microsoft Exchange.
  6. Follow the onscreen instructions to authenticate your account.

Connect a Gmail Email Account

  1. Tap in the lower-right corner of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Connected Accounts.
  4. Tap + in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  5. Tap Gmail.
  6. Follow the onscreen instructions to authenticate your account.

Connect an Office 365 Email Account

  1. Tap in the lower-right corner of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Connected Accounts.
  4. Tap + in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  5. Tap Office 365.
  6. Follow the onscreen instructions to authenticate your account.

Log calls with mobile apps

SalesforceIQ's smartphone apps can log phone calls that you make to a Contact on a List. To call a List Contact, open the Contact profile from a List or search for the Contact, and then tap the phone number listed in the Contact profile.

After the call, the Stream displays an entry showing that a phone call took place between you and the Contact. No other information about the call is included.

To log the call, SalesforceIQ must have the exact phone number that you dial stored for that Contact. To make sure your Contact is updated with the correct phone number, in the Stream, hover over the Contact photo and click . From there, you can see if the phone number has been entered, and you can add new phone numbers as needed.
