SalesforceIQ CRM Migration Quick Start Guide
Before you migrate your data, please ensure that you complete the following tasks:
- Perform an Organization Export to have a full copy of your data
- Sign up for a Sales Cloud trial
- Clean and consolidate your data - Learn how to prepare for the migration here.
Get started on your migration with these 3 steps:
- Migrate Lists with the SalesforceIQ Migration Tool
- Customize your Sales Cloud Organization
- Show SalesforceIQ fields
- Add Users and Reassign Account Owners
- Enable Inbox and Einstein Activity Capture
- Import Activity (Calls/ Comments/ Meetings from the Stream)
1. Migrate Lists with the SalesforceIQ Migration Tool
For your SalesforceIQ Lists, please use the SalesforceIQ Migration Tool.
The SalesforceIQ Migration Tool is located under Settings > Salesforce Migration.
You can migrate up to two lists via the Migration Tool to your Sales Cloud Organization.
Contacts and Accounts from SalesforceIQ will be brought over to your Sales Cloud Organization via the SalesforceIQ Migration Tool.
Using the Migration Tool
Your List data (as well as all of your custom fields) and Contacts/ Accounts associated with a List will be migrated over via the SalesforceIQ Migration Tool. For a step-by-step guide on using the Migration Tool, please reference Step 2 of the Migration Path.

2. Customize your Sales Cloud Organization
After migrating your data, you will need to customize your Sales Cloud organization according to the instructions outlined in Step 3 of the Migration Path.
Expose SalesforceIQ fields onto the page layout in Sales Cloud to track key pieces of information.
Add users in Sales Cloud to collaborate with your team!
Pull in email activity to Sales Cloud (similar to SalesforceIQ), by enabling Inbox and Einstein Activity Capture.

3. Import Activity (Calls/ Comments/ Meetings from the Stream)
For manually logged activities, please use only ONE of the following tools below.
Comment/ Call/ Meeting from the Steam in SalesforceIQ translates to Activity and Chatter Feed in Sales Cloud.
After you have migrated your List data with the Migration Tool, you may find that you want to import your Comments/ Calls/ Meetings from the Stream into Sales Cloud. Depending on the Edition of Sales Cloud that your organization is migrating to, you will need to use one of these tools to import your manually logged data. Importing activity data is part of Step 3 of the Migration Path.

What data does not migrate over with the SalesforceIQ Migration Tool
The following data below is not automatically migrated over using the SalesforceIQ Migration Tool nor the Data Import Wizard or Data Loader. If you have any questions or concerns about the data that does not automatically transfer over via the Migration Tool, please contact us here.
Intelligence Fields - ONLY 'First Communication Date' and 'Author of First Communication' are included automatically when using the SalesforceIQ Migration Tool.
SalesforceIQ Tasks - They must all be entered manually into your Sales Cloud Organization.
Contact Gallery/ Account Gallery - These will not automatically transfer over to Sales Cloud. Only Accounts/ Contacts associated with a List will be brought over to Sales Cloud via the SalesforceIQ Migration Tool as mentioned above.
